These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of balancelift.org (the “Site”), operated by Buddy Street Marketing LLC d/b/a BalanceLift (“BalanceLift,” “we,” “us”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Educational information only

BalanceLift is an independent financial education website. Everything on the Site, including guides, examples and calculators, is general information for educational purposes. It is not financial, credit, legal or tax advice, and it does not take your personal circumstances into account. Consider speaking with a nonprofit credit counselor or a licensed professional about your situation.

What we do not do

BalanceLift does not lend money, arrange or broker loans, negotiate balances on anyone’s behalf, or offer services to change credit reports. We do not recommend, endorse or rank specific lenders, card issuers or other financial companies, and we do not receive referral fees from them.

Calculators

Our calculators provide estimates based on the numbers you enter and simplified assumptions. Actual results depend on the terms of your accounts, which may differ. Calculators run in your browser and we do not store your inputs.

Accuracy and links

We work to keep content accurate and current, but we make no warranty that it is complete or error-free. The Site links to third-party websites, such as government agencies, for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.

Updates and text messages

If you sign up for email or text updates, our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy also apply. Consent to receive texts is never required to use the Site.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it by automated means that place an unreasonable load on it, or submit false information through our forms.

Intellectual property

The Site’s content, design and the BalanceLift name and logo are owned by Buddy Street Marketing LLC or its licensors. You may print or share pages for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. Other use requires our written permission.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BalanceLift is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
